University of Alabama basketball star Brandon Miller is at the center of a tragic shooting that left one woman dead. According to police, Miller delivered the gun used in the fatal shooting.
The shooting occurred on February 11th in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Jamea Jonae Harris, a 21-year-old woman, was shot and killed by Darius Miles, who had been in contact with Miller prior to the shooting.
Police testified that Miles had asked Miller to bring him a gun, which Miller did. Miles then used that gun to shoot and kill Harris.
The incident has sparked outrage among the college basketball community. Alabama’s head basketball coach Nate Oats has come under fire for his weak take on Miller’s role in the shooting. Oats has declined to comment on the matter.
The tragedy has left many wondering what could have been done to prevent it. The University of Alabama has yet to make a statement on the matter.
Miller, who is currently a junior at Alabama, has not yet been charged in the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
