Ballistic Missiles Strike Eilat Port City and American-Israeli Vessels – Yemeni Armed Forces on the Offensive

Eilat, Israel – The Yemeni armed forces have launched ballistic missiles targeting the port city of Eilat in southern Israel and American and Israeli-owned vessels in the Red Sea in response to recent attacks on Yemen. The forces’ spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced on Sunday that the military operation aimed at specific targets in the Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat) area was successful.

According to Saree, the joint naval and missile units of Yemen’s Armed Forces also carried out an operation targeting the American ship “Pumba” in the Red Sea using ballistic missiles and drones. The spokesperson emphasized Yemen’s right to defend itself against aggression from the United States, Britain, and Israel, stating that the country will not back down in supporting the Palestinian people.

Saree made it clear that Yemeni forces will continue naval operations against Israeli, American, and British ships until the aggression stops and the blockade on Gaza is lifted. He warned of a significant response to Israeli attacks on Yemen and its people.

In response to Israeli airstrikes in the al-Hudaydah province, which resulted in civilian casualties, Yemen’s Armed Forces have been conducting operations against occupied territories and Israeli interests. The conflict between Yemen and Israel escalated following a series of attacks on Israeli facilities, including a drone strike near the US consular facility in Tel Aviv.

Since October 7, 2023, when Tel Aviv initiated a brutal conflict in Gaza, Yemen has targeted occupied territories, Israeli ships, and vessels. The ongoing conflict has led to thousands of Palestinian fatalities and injuries, mainly among women and children. Yemen vows to continue its operations as long as the Israeli regime persists in its actions against Gaza.
