China Warns US Against Suppressing It or Risk ‘Conflict’
As tensions between China and the United States continue to grow, China’s foreign minister has issued a warning to U.S. officials, saying that if they continue to suppress China, it could lead to a conflict between the two countries.
The warning comes as the relationship between China and the U.S. has deteriorated in recent years, with the U.S. accusing China of unfair trade practices, human rights violations, and military aggression in the South China Sea.
China has responded by accusing the U.S. of trying to contain China’s rise as a global power, and has warned that any attempts to do so will be met with resistance.
The latest warning from China’s foreign minister underscores the seriousness of the situation. In a speech delivered on March 7th, he said that the U.S. should not try to suppress China or interfere in its internal affairs, or risk triggering a conflict.
He also defended China’s ties with Russia, saying that the two countries have a common interest in maintaining a stable international order. He warned that any attempts by the U.S. to drive a wedge between China and Russia will not succeed.
The U.S. has not yet responded to the latest warning from China’s foreign minister. However, tensions between the two countries are expected to remain high, as both sides continue to engage in a war of words and accusations.
