China Warns US Role in Ukraine War Could Lead to Uncontrollable Escalation

China has expressed fears that the conflict between Ukraine and Russia could spin out of control as it has criticised the US role in the conflict.

In a statement released on Tuesday, China’s foreign ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said: “The conflict in Ukraine has escalated and the situation is worrying.”

The statement went on to say that China believes Ukraine and Russia should resolve the conflict through dialogue and negotiation, and that external forces should not intervene.

The statement also criticised the US role in the conflict, saying that the US should “refrain from taking any actions that could further complicate the situation”.

The statement comes as tensions between Ukraine and Russia have been rising in recent weeks, with the two countries exchanging fire along the border.

The US has been providing military support to Ukraine, including providing weapons and training to Ukrainian forces.

The conflict in Ukraine has been ongoing since 2014, when Russia annexed Crimea. Since then, fighting has been ongoing in the eastern part of the country, with a fragile ceasefire in place since 2015.

The US has accused Russia of violating the ceasefire and of escalating the conflict, while Russia has accused the US of meddling in the conflict.

China’s statement is a reminder of the potential for the conflict to escalate further, and of the need for all sides to work together to resolve the crisis.
