"Netflix’s Maria Wins Big at ASC Awards – See Full Winners List!"

Los Angeles, California – Cinematographer Edward Lachman was awarded the prestigious Theatrical Feature Film prize at the 39th annual ASC Awards. Lachman’s work on the film “Maria,” featuring Angelina Jolie as Maria Callas, earned him this esteemed recognition at the ceremony held at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday night. Notably, winning the ASC Theatrical Feature Film prize often leads to success at the Oscars, with past winners going on to claim the Best Cinematography Academy Award nearly half of the time.

The ASC Awards also celebrated other outstanding achievements in cinematography across various categories. Ed Helms hosted the event, where Jomo Fray received the Spotlight Award for his work on “Nickel Boys,” and Michael Dweck and Gregory Kershaw were honored with the Documentary Award for “Gaucho Gaucho.”

The Music Video Award was granted to Pepe Avila del Pino for the video “313,” performed by Residente, Sílvia Pérez Cruz, and Penelope Cruz. These accolades highlight the diverse talent and exceptional work within the cinematography industry.
