Dad lights car on fire after locking 1-year-old, 3-year-old daughters inside

PRESTON, GA – A Georgia man is facing charges after allegedly setting his car on fire with his two young daughters inside, resulting in their deaths, during a dispute with his wife. The horrifying incident took place in the rural town of Preston, southwest of Atlanta.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) revealed that the suspect, 36-year-old Adan Tzoyohua Panzo, is accused of two counts of murder and arson stemming from the tragedy that occurred on March 30. Local first responders were alerted to a vehicle fire on Millard Kennedy Road, and upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless bodies of Panzo’s two daughters, aged one and three, inside the burned vehicle.

Initial inquiries suggest the incident was a result of a domestic altercation. The Webster County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the GBI, is investigating the details leading up to the alleged crime. The fire was reported and extinguished by firefighters, who were pre-informed about the presence of the children in the car.

Community members expressed their shock and sorrow over the deaths. The tight-knit town is struggling to come to terms with the unimaginable loss, with residents grappling with the implications of such a devastating event on a local family.

The GBI, having taken over the investigation from local law enforcement, has yet to disclose motives or specific events leading up to the moment when the children died. Autopsy results are pending, which will likely offer more details on the exact cause of death.

Adan Tzoyohua Panzo is currently detained at the Webster County Jail without the possibility of bail. While the investigation continues, the community mourns the loss of two young lives cut tragically short, and questions linger about the circumstances that could lead to such a harrowing act.
