Deadly Graduation Shooting: Multiple Injuries and Fatalities at Virginia Commonwealth University

Richmond, Virginia – A high school graduation celebration turned tragic on Saturday night when multiple people were fatally shot and many others were injured. According to Crime Insider sources, the shooting occurred near Monroe Park in Richmond during the graduation ceremony.

Eyewitnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and seeing chaos and panic as graduates and families fled the scene. Several videos circulating on social media showed people running in terror and screaming.

Police received multiple calls about an active shooter in the area, prompting a massive response from law enforcement. The Richmond Police Department confirmed that seven people were shot during the incident and two suspects have been taken into custody.

The injured victims were rushed to nearby hospitals with gunshot wounds, and several are reported to be in critical condition. Police have not released the identities of the suspects or the victims.

This is the second shooting incident to occur at a graduation ceremony in Virginia this weekend. On Friday, seven people were shot outside a graduation ceremony at Virginia Commonwealth University.
