Niles, Ohio – A 25-year-old man, Dontavious Wallace, was sentenced to an indefinite prison term of five to six years on charges of felonious assault and tampering with evidence related to a drive-by shooting in Niles, Ohio.

The sentence was handed down in court on Monday, according to the Trumbull County Prosecutor’s Office. The charges stem from a drive-by shooting on Clay Street in July of 2023, where police found several shell casings and a bullet hole near a vacant home. Fortunately, no one was hit by the gunfire.

In addition to Wallace, two others are suspected to have been involved with the incident as well. Anthony Butler, also 25 years old, is currently charged with felonious assault and is awaiting a pretrial hearing on November 29. Another 25-year-old, Brandy Bajwa, pled guilty to an assault charge connected to the same incident and was sentenced to one year of probation, along with a $1,000 fine.
