Tesla’s stock prices rose after the company reported its fourth-quarter earnings, resulting in Musk regaining the top spot on Bloomberg’s billionaires list. Musk’s net worth is estimated at $190 billion, surpassing Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, who is now in second place.
The news comes after Musk’s company, SpaceX, successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying four astronauts to the International Space Station. This marked the first time a private company has sent a crewed mission to the ISS.
In addition to his success in the business world, Musk has also made headlines for his philanthropic efforts. He recently donated $5 million to the nonprofit organization, Compton Pledge, which is aimed at providing educational opportunities to underserved children.
