London, England – Rachel Zegler, known for her roles in “West Side Story” and the upcoming “Snow White,” is set to make her London theater debut as Eva Perón in a revival of the musical “Evita.” Directed by Jamie Lloyd, the production will run for a limited 12-week summer season at the iconic London Palladium from June 14 to September 6.
Zegler, an American of Colombian and Polish descent, has been described by Lloyd as a “phenomenal talent” who will bring a fresh perspective to the role of Eva Perón. The negotiations to bring Zegler to the West End were recently finalized, making her one of the highest-paid stars on the London stage this season.
The director expressed his excitement about working with Zegler, highlighting her passion for the show and calling her casting in the role of Eva Perón a dream come true. Zegler, in a statement, shared her deep connection to “Evita,” noting that the opportunity to work with Lloyd and bring his vision to life on stage is an honor for her.
