Houston, UCLA, and Kansas Top the AP College Basketball Poll
In the latest AP men’s basketball poll, Houston, UCLA, and Kansas came out on top. The Houston Cougars, currently ranked first in the American Athletic Conference, were also named the champions of the recently released Power 36 rankings. The UCLA Bruins, who are on a five-game winning streak, have been gaining momentum in the rankings and are now ranked second overall.
The Kansas Jayhawks, who have struggled in recent weeks, still managed to hold on to the third spot in the poll despite not being ranked in the Power 36 rankings. Purdue, who ranked first in the final Power 36 rankings, only managed to secure the fourth spot in the AP poll.
Other notable teams in the top 10 included the Duke Blue Devils, who have been heating up just in time for March Madness, and the Michigan Wolverines, who came in at number five.
Meanwhile, the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Kansas State Wildcats both fell out of the top 25 in the latest poll. However, the Missouri Tigers returned to the poll after winning their last two games.
The college basketball season is entering its final stretch, with conference tournaments set to begin next week. Fans can expect a thrilling and unpredictable finish to what has already been a dramatic season so far.
