Gunman Opens Fire on Police in Fargo, North Dakota

Fargo, North Dakota was shaken on Friday afternoon when a man opened fire on police officers in a busy street. Multiple witnesses reported that more than one officer was hit before the assailant was shot by other officers. Bo Thi, who was working at a nearby nail salon, initially mistook the gunshots for fireworks or a motorcycle backfiring. Surveillance video captured by a Fargo resident documented the rapid sounds of gunfire. The North Dakota Attorney General, Drew Wrigley, confirmed that the state Bureau of Criminal Investigation is collaborating with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies in response to the shooting incident.
