JFK Airport Power Outage Causes International Flights to be Canceled for 2nd Day in a Row

Travelers arriving at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City were met with a second day of canceled flights due to a power disruption.

The international terminal at the airport remained closed due to the power outage, leaving travelers stranded. The disruption has caused a ripple effect with flights to and from the airport continuing to be delayed or canceled.

One traveler, however, got an unexpected surprise when their flight was diverted to make a U-turn after only 8 hours. The Air New Zealand flight was heading to nowhere, as it was just a sightseeing trip, but the power disruption forced the plane to make a U-turn and return to its origin.

The power disruption is expected to continue for the foreseeable future, and travelers are advised to check the status of their flights before heading to the airport.

In the meantime, the international terminal at JFK Airport remains closed and travelers are advised to seek alternative routes to their destination.
