Kevin Durant Makes Epic Return with 23 Points in Winning Suns Debut Against Hornets

After suffering an injury that kept him out of the game for over a year, Kevin Durant made a triumphant return to the court Wednesday evening in a matchup between the Phoenix Suns and Charlotte Hornets.

Durant, who was playing in his first game with the Suns, scored 23 points in a 119-113 victory over the Hornets. The former NBA MVP was a force to be reckoned with, shooting 8-14 from the field and 3-5 from beyond the arc.

The game was a highly anticipated matchup, with many eyes on Durant’s return. Hornets player Kelly Oubre Jr. even said the team was taking it “kind of personal” with Durant’s debut.

The Suns also had an impressive performance from Brittney Griner, whose video of her acrobatic dunk went viral on social media.

The Suns are now 6-7 on the season, while the Hornets drop to 4-8.
