The Reese’s Senior Bowl, a showcase of the top NFL prospects, concluded on Saturday with the National team dominating the American team 27-10. Fresno State quarterback Jake Haener was named MVP of the game, leading the National team to victory with a strong performance.
The National team was led by the strong play of Haener, who completed 23 of his 33 passes for 209 yards and two touchdowns. He also had two carries for 15 yards. In addition, running backs Chad Ryland and Michael Wilson both had solid games, with Ryland rushing for 76 yards and a touchdown, and Wilson adding 57 yards and a touchdown.
The American team was led by quarterback Anthony Johnson, who completed 16 of his 29 passes for 182 yards and a touchdown. Johnson also had four carries for 11 yards. Wide receiver Johnson shone for the American team, catching five passes for 75 yards and a touchdown.
