EDMOND, OK – Authorities say an Oklahoma man is facing charges after allegedly shooting the husband of the woman he was dating during a heated confrontation outside a local plasma donation center last week.

Police allege that Micah Hill, 21, opened fire on the woman’s husband during an altercation in a parking lot just outside Biomat USA Plasma Center on Tuesday. According to investigators, Hill later told them he felt threatened and that he believed he had no other option but to draw his weapon and shoot.

According to court documents, Hill admitted that he was waiting in a vehicle with his girlfriend, who is married to the victim, while she was inside the plasma center. The situation escalated when the husband confronted Hill in the lot. Hill told officers that he had previously been spat on and threatened by the man, citing those prior incidents as reasons for his fear during the encounter.

Feeling unsafe, Hill allegedly decided to arm himself before stepping out of the car. Officials say he recounted that the husband became aggressive, prompting Hill to fire his pistol as the man lunged toward him. Authorities said Hill told them he fired two shots in self-defense.
