Seoul, South Korea – Samsung is gearing up to reveal its latest innovation, the Galaxy Z Fold7, in July. Leaked renders of the foldable device have surfaced, offering a glimpse of what consumers can expect from Samsung’s upcoming release.
In response to the trend of increasingly thinner foldable devices, Samsung appears to be following suit with the Galaxy Z Fold7. While not quite as slim as its competitor Oppo’s Find N5, Samsung’s offering boasts a thickness of 4.5mm when unfolded and 9.5mm when folded, camera bump included.
The dimensions of the Fold7 unfolded measure at 158.4 x 143.1 mm, hinting at a wider aspect ratio for the cover screen compared to its predecessor. Despite these advancements, the battery capacity remains at 4,400 mAh, lagging behind competitors who can fit 5,600 mAh cells in similar devices.
Reportedly equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the Fold7 features an 8.2-inch inner screen and a 6.5-inch cover screen. Camera upgrades include a 200 MP main sensor from the Galaxy Z Fold SE, a 12 MP ultrawide lens, and a 10 MP telephoto camera, while retaining similar selfie camera specifications from the Fold6.
As Samsung prepares to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold7, tech enthusiasts eagerly anticipate how the device will stack up against its competitors in the foldable smartphone market. With improvements in design and camera capabilities, Samsung seems poised to make a strong impression with its latest offering.
