On the afternoon of February 15th, a Black Hawk military helicopter crashed near Highway 53 in Alabama. According to authorities, there were no survivors.
The crash occurred in the town of Harvest, located about 20 miles north of Huntsville. The cause of the crash is currently unknown and is being investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board.
The crash caused the immediate closure of the nearby roadway, which is expected to remain closed through Thursday.
The Black Hawk helicopter was carrying seven people, including four crew members and three passengers. All those on board were killed in the crash.
The identities of those on board have not yet been released. However, the names of the victims will be released once their families have been notified.
