Truex Jr. wins Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma, followed by Hamlin and Harvick

Martin Truex Jr. held off Kyle Busch to claim victory in the Toyota/Save Mart 350 held at the Sonoma Raceway in California. Truex Jr. led for the majority of the race and survived multiple challenges from Busch to secure his third victory of the season. In the qualifying session, Denny Hamlin set the fastest time and claimed the Busch Light Pole. However, he was unable to capitalize on his position and finished in sixth place. Toyota Cup teams had a disappointing race day, with several of them struggling to find the right setup for the challenging Sonoma track. Bakersfield native Kevin Harvick, who has won three Cup Series races at Sonoma, gave his insights on the track ahead of the race. Meanwhile, Joey Logano started outside the top 15 but made up ground throughout the race to finish in the top 10. The Sonoma race marked the last Cup Series race in California for the season.
