US Representative George Santos Facing Theft Charges in Dog Breeder Case

U.S. Representative George Santos is facing a scandal after Amish country farmers in Pennsylvania accused him of taking puppies and leaving bad checks. According to POLITICO, Santos was charged with theft in 2017 in a case related to Amish dog breeders.

Santos’ lawyer confirmed to wgaltv that the congressman once faced theft charges in Pennsylvania. CNBC reported that the charges were in connection to a 2017 dog breeder case which was later dismissed.

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Show reported that the 2017 charge makes Santos’ scandal even worse.

The congressman has yet to comment on the accusations.
