10 Injured, 2 in Critical Condition After Intentional Lakeland Mass Shooting

At least 10 people were wounded in a mass shooting in Lakeland, Florida on Monday. According to local law enforcement, two of the victims are in critical condition.

The shooting occurred at a business complex in the city at around 5:00 PM. A suspect has been taken into custody and police believe the shooting was an intentional act.

“We believe the suspect acted alone and there is no further threat to the public at this time,” said Lakeland Police Chief Ruben Garcia.

Witnesses described hearing multiple gunshots and seeing people fleeing the area. Sky 10 aerials show the scene of the shooting with several police cars and ambulances on the scene.

“Our officers responded quickly and were able to apprehend the suspect,” said Garcia.

The victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Police have not released any information about the suspect or the victims.
