Authorities say Tatyana Evans fatally shot 28-year-old Geovanni Montague after discovering incriminating text messages to another woman on his cellphone.
Law enforcement officials took Evans into custody on Tuesday, charging her with murder. According to a Harris County Sheriff’s Office news release, the ordeal unfolded on February 9 in the early morning hours. Deputies responded to reports of a murder victim on Barely Lane, where first responders found Montague unresponsive and with multiple gunshot wounds.
