Authorities report that Kulenovic was taken hostage by Charles Nara, prompting a rapid response from state police who evacuated the Woodview Terrace apartment complex. The incident came to light when Kulenovic’s four-year-old daughter emerged from an apartment and handed over a chilling note. The note revealed that Nara had a hostage, possessed firearms, and had stockpiled a significant amount of gasoline.

Isabella Adamsky, a close friend of Kulenovic, expressed the disbelief and heartache gnawing at those who knew her. “My heart aches for her daughter, so innocent and unaware of the tragedy,” Adamsky said, recounting the moment the child described her mother as unresponsive on Nara’s bed.
