Actress Annie Wersching, best known for her roles in the television series ‘Bosch,’ ‘24,’ and ‘Runaways,’ has passed away at the age of 45.
Wersching had been battling cancer for some time, according to a statement from her family.
“Annie was a light in this world,” the statement read. “She brought joy to so many and will be deeply missed.”
The actress was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and began her career in the late 1990s. She first gained recognition for her role as Renee Walker in the hit series ‘24’ and later went on to appear in ‘Bosch’ and ‘Runaways.’
In addition to her television roles, Wersching also appeared in several films, including ‘The Stepfather’ and ‘The Day the Earth Stood Still.’
Wersching is survived by her husband and two children.
The news of Wersching’s death has been met with an outpouring of love and support from fans and colleagues alike. Fellow ‘24’ star Kiefer Sutherland wrote on Twitter: “Annie Wersching was an amazing actress and a beautiful person. She will be deeply missed.”
