Arrest Warrant Issued for Suspect in Murder of CPD Officer Luis Huesca

Chicago, Illinois – The Chicago Police Department has identified a suspect in the tragic murder of officer Luis Huesca, sources confirmed on Friday evening. An arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect, although they have not yet been taken into custody.

Huesca, a police officer, was fatally shot multiple times while in uniform shortly after returning home from work early Sunday morning in the Gage Park neighborhood on West 56th Street.

Visitation and funeral services for Huesca have been arranged, with visitation scheduled to be open to the public from 1-8 p.m. Sunday at the Blake and Lamb Funeral Home in Oak Lawn.
