Arrested: Second Suspect Charged in South Bend Child’s Death after Photo from St. Joseph County Jail Released

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Authorities have made a second arrest in connection to the tragic death of a child in South Bend. 18-year-old Amarion Cutler was taken into custody on Tuesday morning as a suspect in the shooting death of 12-year-old Josiah Small. Cutler, along with 21-year-old Nagomba White, faces charges related to the incident. The shooting occurred after Small and three others confronted the two men, who were in a vehicle near Indiana and Prairie Avenue. The confrontation resulted in Small and a 14-year-old being shot, while two others were left uninjured.

Cutler has been charged with several counts, including Aiding, Inducing or Causing Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Attempted Murder, Attempted Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon, and Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon. Both suspects have been booked in the St. Joseph County Jail.

The first arrest in connection to the case was White, who was taken into custody in Indianapolis on November 9.
