LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – UNLV has released new footage from the tragic mass shooting that forever altered the campus landscape on December 6. The new camera footage, released by university officials, provides a chilling glimpse into the events that unfolded that fateful day.

The footage includes body camera videos, calls made to UPD dispatch, and exterior security camera footage capturing the police response to the incident. The footage shows the gunman, identified as Anthony Polito, arriving on campus wearing a black trench coat and heading towards the Student Union building entrance. Additionally, there are clips showing officers confronting the gunman outside of Beam Hall.

The shooting resulted in the tragic deaths of three faculty members: Drs. Patricia Navarro Velez, Cha-Jan “Jerry” Chang, and Naoko Takemaru. Another victim was critically injured, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. The entire UNLV community was left reeling from the senseless violence that occurred on campus that day.
