Cindy Williams, Beloved ‘Laverne & Shirley’ Star, Dies at 75

Cindy Williams, the beloved actress best known for her role as Shirley Feeney on the classic television series Laverne & Shirley, has died at the age of 75.

Williams’ death was confirmed by her family in a statement released on Tuesday.

“It is with broken hearts that we confirm the passing of our beloved Cindy,” the statement read. “She was a person with a very big heart and she shared it with many. She was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.”

The statement went on to thank the fans for their “outpouring of love and support.”

Williams’ career spanned more than five decades, with her most notable role being in the hit sitcom Laverne & Shirley. She was nominated for an Emmy for her performance in the show and was also featured in films such as American Graffiti and Grease.

In recent years, Williams had been performing in Las Vegas Strip shows, and producers had been wanting her to come back and perform in the show.

Williams is survived by her husband, Bill Hudson, and her two children, Zachary and Emily.
