“Fatal” Shootings in Jackson Leave Two Dead, Two Injured

JACKSON, Miss. – Two people were killed and two were injured in separate shootings in Jackson on Sunday, prompting investigations by the local police department. The first incident occurred just after midnight on Ellis Avenue near St. Charles Street. DeAsia Bracy was fatally shot inside a vehicle, and two other passengers sustained injuries. The suspects fled the scene after crashing a red Hyundai Sonata at the intersection of Ellis Avenue and St. Charles Street. In another shooting at Merit Health Central, 25-year-old Elisha Bridges was killed following an argument in the hospital’s parking lot, which was determined to be a result of a domestic dispute.

According to Officer Sam Brown, Jackson police are actively seeking the suspects and have urged anyone with information about the fatal shootings to come forward.
