Ferrari Claims Victory at Le Mans After Rainy Race and Safety Car
In a dramatic and rainy race, Ferrari took home the top prize at the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans on Sunday. The Italian manufacturer clinched the victory with their #50 Hypercar, driven in excellent form by their team, which included famed racer Sebastian Vettel.
The race saw frequent changes in leadership as the teams pushed on through the difficult conditions, with the safety car coming out numerous times for long stretches. Despite the challenges, Ferrari was able to maintain their lead during the safety car periods and keep their performance up throughout the race.
Ferrari’s handling of the challenging conditions is particularly impressive given that this is their first Le Mans race since 1973. The endurance race, held annually since 1923, is one of the most prestigious in motorsport and draws in elite teams from around the globe.
