SAVANNAH, GA – A family is mourning an unimaginable tragedy after three relatives, including a teenage boy, were killed in a shooting on Friday in the 200 block of Quacco Trail.

Authorities have charged 42-year-old Junior Thomas Babcock with the murders of his parents and his 14-year-old son. The quiet neighborhood was rocked by the chilling events, as family members wrestle with the incomprehensible loss.

Speaking on behalf of the grieving family, Redgie Oglesby, the nephew of Connie and Daniel Babcock, expressed profound sorrow. In an emotional conversation, he paid tribute to his aunt and uncle, stating, “You couldn’t meet better people. Connie and Daniel were incredible, and now they’re in heaven.”

Recalling the moment he learned about the tragedy, Oglesby said he received a call from his brother late in the morning. “Hearing what happened was devastating,” he shared.

All three victims, the elder Babcocks and their grandson lived together with Junior Thomas Babcock. “Their absence leaves an irreplaceable hole in our family,” Oglesby said, noting that both Junior Thomas and his brother Michael were adopted and raised with love and care.
