Las Vegas, Nevada — Country music legend Dolly Parton has announced a postponement of her highly anticipated concert residency in Las Vegas due to health issues. The famed artist shared the news on social media, revealing that she must undergo several undisclosed medical procedures.

Parton had been set to perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on multiple dates in December, but in her statement, she noted that the required medical attention would hinder her ability to sufficiently prepare for the shows. As a result, she has rescheduled her performances to September 2026.

In her heartfelt message to fans, Parton conveyed the need to prioritize her health. “I want my fans to hear directly from me that I must postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,” she stated. “I’ve been facing some health challenges, and my doctors have advised that I undergo a few procedures.” Despite the lighthearted tone she tried to convey, it was clear that she understands the significance of being ready for her audience.

“Given this situation, I will not be able to rehearse and create the performance that you expect,” she said. “I know you pay good money to see me, and I want to be at my best for you.” Enthusiastic about her future, Parton added, “God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. However, I think He’s encouraging me to take a breather so I can get ready for more big adventures with all of you.”

Initially scheduled for December 4, 6, 7, 10, 12, and 13, the residency was set to feature Parton’s legendary hits like “9 to 5,” “Jolene,” and “I Will Always Love You.” Tickets for the shows became available to the public in June, highlighting the excitement surrounding this limited engagement.

The new dates for the concert series are set for September 17, 19, 20, 23, 25, and 26, 2026. Original tickets will be honored on these new dates, and for those unable to attend, refund options will be made available. Ticket purchasers can expect detailed instructions via email.

This residency marks Parton’s first lengthy engagement in Las Vegas since an early ’90s performance at the now-closed Mirage Hotel, where she shared the stage with fellow country star Kenny Rogers.
