Washington, DC – In a detailed annual physical examination at a Washington DC-area hospital, President Donald Trump was found to be in excellent cognitive and physical health by his White House physician. The examination revealed scarring on Trump’s right ear from a gunshot wound, a result of an assassination attempt in July. At 78, Trump is the oldest president inaugurated in January, with his successor, Joe Biden, older at 82 when he left office.

The five-hour medical examination at Walter Reed hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, included blood tests, a cardiac examination, ultrasounds, and neurological tests on Trump’s mental status, nerves, motor and sensory function. The results showed President Trump to have excellent cognitive and physical health, fully capable of executing his duties as Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.

Dr. Sean Barbabella, Trump’s physician, reported that the president underwent the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) and scored a perfect 30 out of 30. The examination also revealed minor sun damage, benign skin lesions, well-controlled hypercholesterolemia, and a history of a past COVID infection, rosacea, and a benign colon polyp.

Trump’s medical history includes taking medications to control his cholesterol, Rosuvastatin and Ezetimibe, as well as Aspirin for cardiac prevention and Mometasone cream for a skin condition. Despite weighing 224lb and being 6ft 2.5in tall, Trump falls within the overweight range on the Body Mass Index calculator, not obese. Dr. Barbabella credited Trump’s good health to an active lifestyle, including regular golfing victories.

This recent medical examination is the first public report on Trump since the attempted assassination last July, which left him with superficial injuries according to his former White House doctor, Ronny Jackson. Trump’s physical health has been a topic of discussion, including his attacks on opponent Joe Biden’s cognitive and physical health during the campaign trail. Biden has declined to commit to taking a cognitive test, stating he had not undergone one while in office.
