In a dramatic scene that unfolded early Tuesday morning, a worker in Monterey Park wrested a pistol away from a gunman who had opened fire in the area.
The shooting occurred outside the Alhambra ballroom, and police are now investigating the crime scene. Officers have released a photo of the suspect, as well as information about a van of interest that was stopped in Torrence.
The Wall Street Journal reports that officials are looking into the incident, which happened near the ballroom.
Meanwhile, ABC7 has released an image showing the worker who managed to disarm the suspect in Alhambra. CBS 8 San Diego has also reported that the van of interest has been stopped in Torrence.
At this time, no injuries have been reported, but the investigation is ongoing.
