Hollister Man Arrested for Animal Cruelty and Illegal Procedures

Hollister, California – A Hollister man was taken into custody by the local police for alleged animal cruelty activities involving offering illegal procedures to dog owners in the area. The suspect’s actions came to light after concerned citizens reported his activities to the authorities.

Authorities from the Hollister Police Animal Care and Services took swift action upon receiving the reports. Following an investigation, a search warrant was executed at the suspect’s residence on Bravada Circle in Hollister. Inside the home, officers discovered animals living in deplorable conditions, with some being deprived of food and water, while others were surrounded by feces.

The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Luis Giovanni, was arrested on charges of felony animal cruelty and possession of a controlled substance typically used in surgical procedures. Giovanni is associated with a business known as HollisterBullies831, according to law enforcement officials.

In response to the situation, animal control officers seized 17 dogs from the property and provided them with urgent veterinary care. The animals, evaluated by a local veterinarian, were fortunately not found to be in immediate distress and were later returned to their respective owners on the same day.
