HOUSTON, Texas – A tragic incident unfolded in southwest Houston on Friday as a mother was fatally shot in front of her children, allegedly by her on-and-off-again boyfriend. According to the Houston Police Department, the shooting took place on Bird Run Drive in the Missouri City area around 7 p.m.

The victim, identified as 38-year-old Jameka Williams, was found with gunshot wounds. Family members revealed that three of her children, aged 17, 14, and 12, witnessed the horrifying incident. Her sister, Jaterra Williams, recounted receiving a distressing call from her 14-year-old niece informing her that their father had shot their mother, leaving the children traumatized by the tragic experience.

This devastating event unfolded after a fight between the victim and her boyfriend, who then fled the scene in a white Nissan Altima. Family members disclosed that the couple had a tumultuous relationship, and the alleged shooter had made threats in the past.
