According to the Weather Channel, the tornado touched down in Houston on Saturday, January 23rd and was accompanied by powerful storms. The damage is being described as “catastrophic” by local officials.
KHOU 11 reported that the tornado caused significant damage to homes and businesses in the area, as well as to the city’s animal shelter. Video footage of the storm damage has been circulating on social media.
