Ridgefield, Washington is about to welcome a new dining option as In-N-Out Burger looks to expand into the state. The popular burger chain has already established a presence in neighboring Oregon and Idaho, with plans to open a new location in Ridgefield, just north of Vancouver in Clark County. According to Mike Abbate, vice president of store development at In-N-Out, the company has filed a development application for the new site, although the development process is still in its early stages.
If all goes as planned, construction of the new In-N-Out location in Ridgefield will take approximately eight to nine months once all necessary permits are secured. However, an official opening date for the restaurant has not yet been announced. Abbate expressed optimism about the project, highlighting the company’s collaboration with the city in obtaining the required permits and approvals.
City Manager Steve Stuart of Ridgefield has confirmed the city’s support for In-N-Out’s expansion plans, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that the new restaurant’s design aligns with the community’s standards and does not cause any disruptions. This collaborative effort aims to create a unique and high-quality establishment that will enhance the city’s dining landscape.
In-N-Out’s move into the Portland area faced a setback in 2022, but the company has since filed an appeal to pursue its expansion goals in the region. In addition to its Washington venture, In-N-Out is also set to open new locations in its home state of California, with stores planned for Redlands and Sylmar. The company has further announced intentions to expand to New Mexico in the near future, with a target of establishing a presence in the state by 2027.
As In-N-Out continues to grow its footprint across various states, including Arizona, Utah, and California, the burger chain remains a popular choice for fans of its signature offerings like the Double-Double Burger and famous fries. With new locations on the horizon and ongoing efforts to deliver high-quality dining experiences, In-N-Out’s expansion plans indicate a promising future for the beloved fast-food brand.
