SURPRISE, AZ – A harrowing case unfolds in Arizona as a man faces charges related to the brutal death of his wife. Brandon Gregory, 56, is accused of murdering his wife, Alison Gregory, 41, with a baseball bat before driving over 100 miles with her body in the vehicle, according to authorities.

The investigation ignited on May 14 when Alison failed to collect a relative from the airport. Concerned family members informed the police that the couple was in the throes of a difficult divorce. Officers discovered signs of a struggle at their home, leading them to launch a search for the couple’s vehicles.

The search concluded in Wikieup, about 100 miles from Surprise, where police apprehended Brandon Gregory. His wife’s body was discovered in the back seat of the car. Under questioning, Brandon allegedly confessed to the crime.

According to court documents, the catalyst for the fatal altercation emerged from an argument over their house, which was nearing sale. Brandon claimed that Alison instructed him to leave, leading to the conflict. He recounted that she kicked him while holding a bat, which he purportedly wrestled from her before attacking. Following the incident, he allegedly attempted to clean up the scene and eventually left with Alison’s body in her SUV.

Brandon reportedly disposed of Alison’s phone and smart devices at a gas station before driving to a remote campground and discarding the bat. He also penned a letter seeking forgiveness from his children for his actions.

During a recent bond hearing, prosecutors highlighted the severe nature of the case, urging the court to deny bail. Alison’s family members pleaded for justice, recalling the turbulent relationship and deceptive behavior they attribute to Brandon.

Her mother voiced the pain of losing Alison and her desperation to see justice served, demanding that Brandon remain incarcerated. “She fought so hard to get away, and he took her from us,” she lamented.

The judge set Brandon Gregory’s bond at $2 million, with his next court appearance scheduled soon. Meanwhile, Alison is remembered as a Navy veteran, a devoted mother, and an uplifting presence in the lives of those around her.
