The crew consists of mission commander Shane Kimbrough, a veteran of two spaceflights; pilot Megan McArthur, a veteran of one spaceflight; Japanese mission specialist Akihiko Hoshide, a veteran of one spaceflight; European Space Agency mission specialist Thomas Pesquet, a veteran of zero spaceflights; and NASA mission specialist and physician Dr. Megan McArthur, a veteran of one spaceflight.
The astronauts will be spending six months on the space station, conducting experiments and helping to maintain the station.
The weather forecast for the launch looks favorable, with clear skies expected. The launch will be visible from the Kennedy Space Center and other parts of Florida.
