Israel Launches Devastating Air Strike, Puts Syria’s Aleppo Airport Out of Service

Cairo, Egypt – Israel conducted an airstrike on Aleppo Airport in Syria on Saturday, rendering it inoperable, according to the Syrian defense ministry. The ministry reported that the attack originated from the Mediterranean Sea, west of Latakia. The strike resulted in significant damage to the airport, forcing it to shut down.

The Israeli military has not yet responded to the incident.

This attack comes just days after Israeli forces launched simultaneous missile strikes on the airports in Damascus, the capital of Syria, and Aleppo. The previous attacks had severely damaged the runways of both airports, causing them to be temporarily closed. As of now, Damascus Airport remains out of service.

Unnamed sources have suggested that the purpose of these airstrikes is to disrupt Iran’s supply lines to Syria. Iran’s influence in Syria has increased since it began supporting President Bashar al-Assad during the civil war that erupted in 2011.

In summary, Israel launched an airstrike on Aleppo Airport in Syria, causing extensive damage and rendering it inoperable. The attack follows similar strikes on two other Syrian airports, one of which is still out of service. It is believed that these attacks aim to disrupt Iranian supply lines to Syria.
