Travelers at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York were left stranded after a power outage caused the terminal to remain closed on Tuesday.
The power outage was reported at Terminal 1 of JFK Airport, causing problems for travelers. Flights were delayed and some were even cancelled.
The outage caused an Air New Zealand flight from New York to the airline’s home base in Auckland, New Zealand to make a U-turn and return to JFK. Passengers were forced to endure a 16+ hour flight to nowhere.
The power outage was eventually resolved, but the terminal remained closed for several hours, causing further delays and disruptions for travelers.
