LE Audio Transmitter Case: Jabra’s Game-Changing Upgrade for Elite 10 and 8 Gen 2 Earbuds Revealed!

Boston, MA – Jabra unveils its latest earbuds lineup today, introducing the upgraded versions of the Elite 10 and Elite 8 Active. Both now known as “Gen 2,” these models come with enhanced sound quality, noise cancellation, and other core features. However, the standout feature among these new earbuds is the LE Audio charging case that accompanies both models, allowing users to transmit audio from external devices directly to the buds.

Unlike LG’s wireless earbuds, which have offered a similar feature for years, Jabra sets itself apart by utilizing advanced technology. The Elite 10 and 8 Gen 2 connect to the case over LE Audio and utilize the new LC3 Bluetooth codec to minimize latency significantly. This technology enables seamless synchronization with devices like the Nintendo Switch or Steam Deck, providing a consistent audio experience.

By adopting LE Audio, Jabra aims to eliminate connectivity issues commonly associated with Bluetooth devices. The direct connection between the earbuds and the case ensures compatibility regardless of the Bluetooth chip in the user’s phone, promising a hassle-free experience.

While the external design of the earbuds remains unchanged, the Elite 10 Gen 2 feature a semi-open design for a more natural fit, while the Elite 8 Gen 2 offer improved durability with an IP68 dust and water resistance rating and MIL-STD-810h ruggedization.

Jabra has also enhanced the head tracking and Dolby Atmos spatial audio experience for the Elite 10 Gen 2, in addition to improving active noise cancellation and transparency mode for both models. The highlight, however, remains the innovative LE Audio case, providing practical functionality compared to other “smart” charging cases on the market.

Priced at $279 for the Elite 10 Gen 2 and $229 for the Elite 8 Gen 2, both models will be available in mid-June in various colors. Stay tuned for upcoming reviews to explore the full capabilities of the transmitter case and the overall performance of these new Jabra earbuds.
