A deadly winter storm is currently sweeping across the United States, bringing life-threatening cold temperatures to the Northeast while the South reels from an ice storm.
Forecasters are predicting that temperatures in the Northeast will break records as the coldest air in decades moves in. Parts of the region could experience wind chills as low as -30 degrees Fahrenheit.
Meanwhile, the South is still dealing with the aftermath of an ice storm that has caused eight deaths and left hundreds of thousands of people without power.
In New England, officials are warning residents to prepare for a “wicked” deep freeze and take precautions to protect themselves from the cold.
