Lyric Wynn Sentenced to State Prison after Violating Parole and Probation

LOCK HAVEN, PA – A man who made headlines for attempting to break into the Lock Haven Police Department in June of 2021 has been sentenced to state prison for the first time. Lyric Wynn, 23, of Lucas Lane, Lock Haven, appeared before Clinton County President Judge Craig P. Miller for sentencing and parole and probation violations.

In July of this year, Wynn was detained by Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar on a probation detainer and taken to the Clinton County Correctional Facility. He fled from the police on foot, leading to a prolonged foot pursuit before eventually being taken into custody. While at the correctional facility, Wynn threw a container of unknown fluid on a probation officer and made several threats to harm other individuals, including Deputy Sheriffs and Correctional Officers.

On Tuesday, Judge Miller sentenced Wynn to an aggregate minimum term of 17 months and a maximum of 96 months at SCI at Camp Hill. Wynn had requested time-served and claimed to be a “non-violent” offender, but the district attorney argued that he showed no respect for the court, police, or probation officers, and had previously attempted to burglarize a police department to retrieve drugs.

The Commonwealth sought a 20 month minimum and a maximum of 96 months for Wynn. This sentencing marks a turning point for Wynn, who has been given every benefit of the doubt and has now earned a state prison sentence.
