Man Charged in Fatal Jersey City Triple Shooting Case

JERSEY CITY, NJ – A tragic incident unfolded in Jersey City resulting in one man’s death and two others injured in a triple shooting. The suspect, 36-year-old Joseph Del Valle from Hoboken, has been arrested and charged with murder, weapons offenses, and assault in connection to the crime.

The shooting took place on Jordan Avenue on March 9, just a few blocks away from a local high school near McGinley Square. The victim, 33-year-old Christoph Terrero Marte from Jersey City, lost his life in the shooting, while a 28-year-old from Union City and a 31-year-old from Jersey City sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Following the incident, Del Valle was apprehended at an address on Summit Avenue in Jersey City and is currently being held at the Hudson County Correctional Facility awaiting his first court appearance. In addition to Del Valle, 42-year-old Francisco Salcedo, also from Jersey City, was charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses. He was taken into custody on March 11 at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus.

Authorities are working diligently to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting and to ensure that justice is served for the victims and their families.
