Man flings his girlfriend from hood of SUV then drives off and leaves her dying on the road

LAS VEGAS, NV – A Las Vegas woman lost her life after being ejected from the hood of a moving vehicle during an alleged altercation with her boyfriend, who now faces murder charges. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has apprehended 36-year-old Alejandro Cisneros in connection with the death of 28-year-old Alondra Rivera.

Authorities received an emergency call late in the evening of June 28, reporting an unresponsive woman in the roadway at East Yuma Avenue and South Frank Street. Responding officers and medical personnel found Rivera in critical condition; she was declared deceased at the scene, a victim of blunt force trauma.

The investigation quickly unraveled the circumstances preceding Rivera’s death. Witnesses described a heated exchange between Rivera and an unidentified person in an SUV. Rivera, perched precariously on the hood of the vehicle, was violently thrown off after the driver executed several sudden stops. The SUV then made a hasty departure before law enforcement arrived.

Cisneros’ relationship to the incident was pieced together through multiple witness accounts and surveillance footage that depicted a calculated pattern of aggressive driving behaviors, suggesting an attempt to dislodge Rivera from the hood.

In the days following the grim discovery, Cisneros allegedly attempted to surrender to authorities on multiple occasions. Initial efforts were stymied by a lack of arrest warrant and miscommunication with the police department. However, persistent attempts to connect with law enforcement officers ultimately led to his arrest and charge of open murder.

According to police affidavits, Cisneros admitted to a physical confrontation with Rivera but claimed he did not intentionally harm her. His reasoning suggested he did not expect the altercation to be fatal, as he considered Rivera to be a “strong woman.”

Currently, Cisneros is being held at the Clark County Detention Center without the possibility of bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for August 1. As the community grapples with the reality of such violence, the case against Cisneros proceeds, with further scrutiny into the events that led to Rivera’s tragic and untimely death.
