Manhunt for armed couple after bloody scene discovered at Colorado sober living home and well-liked resident goes missing

CIMARRON HILLS, CO – Blood found at a home in a Colorado sober-living community has led authorities to search for three individuals, following the discovery of a deceased fourth person in a related case.

The investigation began on December 19 when deputies from El Paso County were summoned to a residence in the 1800 block of Pima Drive. Upon arrival, they found “large quantities of blood” dispersed throughout various rooms in the house.

Authorities are presently seeking three individuals connected to the incident. John Rankin Morris, 46, is among those wanted. Described as standing 5 feet, 9 inches, and weighing 150 pounds, Morris is white, with short-cut brown and grey hair, blue eyes, and a tattoo on his right ear. The second individual is Hailey Diane Cole, 43, who is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds, with brown medium-length hair and blue eyes. Cole, like Morris, is considered “armed and dangerous,” and authorities urge anyone who sees them to contact emergency services immediately.

Additionally, Stephen Walker, 37, is also missing under suspicious circumstances linked to the December 19 event.

Walker is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with tan skin, black hair, and brown eyes, along with tattoos on his right arm. Described as a peaceful individual, Walker’s disappearance has left his relatives concerned for his safety. Walker lived in the sober living home, as did Morris.

The case took a grim turn on Tuesday when a welfare check by Park County authorities led to the discovery of 65-year-old Timmy L. Huston’s body. The specific cause of his death is still under investigation.

In connection with these investigations, officials were searching for a black 2013 Audi A4 with Colorado license plate MYZFYT, recently located near a trailhead roughly half a mile away from Huston’s residence. They are also on the lookout for a blue 1994 Ford F-150 pickup truck, which could be in Colorado or en route to Mississippi. The truck has a distinctive “HUNTER” sticker on its left fender and bears a Colorado license plate: TQQ039.

Authorities emphasize the importance of public assistance, urging anyone with information regarding either the Park County or El Paso County investigations to contact the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Regional Communications Center. The fate of Stephen Walker, whose family anxiously awaits his safe return, remains a pressing concern amidst this unfolding situation.
