Manhunt for Oklahoma Murder Suspect Ends in Dramatic Arkansas Arrest!

Morrilton, Arkansas – Authorities in Morrilton, Arkansas, have apprehended a man sought in connection with multiple killings in Oklahoma and Alabama. Stacy Lee Drake, 50, was arrested by local police and the Arkansas State Police on Thursday morning, according to a statement by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

Drake was last seen on foot outside a motel in Morrilton and is believed to be armed and dangerous. He had purchased camping gear, leading authorities to believe he was still in the Morrilton area, which is located about 50 miles northwest of Little Rock. The suspect’s last known address is in Birmingham, but he had been spending time in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, prior to his arrest. Drake is linked to the slayings of a man and woman, as well as a car theft in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Additionally, he is wanted in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, in connection with the killing of Russell Andrews, 62.

Officials have also labeled Drake as a “person of interest” in the death of Phillip Emerson, 56, in El Reno, Oklahoma. Initially investigated as an “unattended death,” Emerson’s fatal injuries were determined to be consistent with homicide.
