PHILADELPHIA, PA – A violent outburst on the streets of Philadelphia left two young people injured during an apparent road rage incident. The altercation occurred Monday night at the intersection of 42nd and Girard Avenue, involving an unidentified man believed to be in his 40s, driving a silver Honda Civic, as reported by local police.

The confrontation escalated quickly, resulting in the suspect opening fire on the occupants of another vehicle. Police identified the victims as a 15-year-old male, who sustained a gunshot wound to his left arm, and a 20-year-old female, who was grazed on her chest.

Both were transported to local medical facilities—Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and Lankenau Medical Center, respectively—and are reported to be in stable condition. The car used to bring the woman to the hospital is currently being retained by authorities for investigation.

Law enforcement officials are urging the public to assist in identifying the suspect. The vehicle involved is distinct, noted for damage to its front quarter panels, a missing hub cap, and a makeshift vanity tag. Surveillance footage released by authorities shows a man yelling out of his car window before shots are fired at a stoplight, and he quickly drives away.
